When it comes to MMOs, there’s a lot of talk about what video games can be. In the case of Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen, there is no such discussion – as this game was built with one purpose in mind: create an immersive fantasy world where players are free from systems that limit or control them.
The “pantheon: rise of the fallen 2020” is a game that was originally released in 2015. It has since been updated with new content and plans to release in 2020.
The November producer’s letter from the Pantheon team has just been released; the team claims to have been “heads down” this month, working on asset conversion and combat.
Chris Perkins and Adam Mostel of Visionary Realms write, “With the recent conversion to HDRP, we are experiencing the huge boost in graphical quality and performance improvements from our slick new asset streaming engine.” “Our immediate development objectives have also been set as a result of this change.” The process of asset conversion is at the top of the list.”
In terms of combat, the studio says it’s working on a number of changes, including a revamp of the attribute and stat system to make stats more desirable and clear; a revamp of base power from leveling and target difficulty; a sweeping overhaul of abilities to de-emphasize rotations; and, of course, a refocus on class identity.
“A major component of Pantheon’s growth is having diverse classes with their own strengths and weaknesses, and our combat upgrades will let us to explore the depths of those distinctions more than ever before.” We can better identify where our classes thrive above others by feeding off improvements to our traits and talents. Wizards, for example, while being indisputable masters of direct harm, may discover that their debuffing spells are not only fewer, but also don’t hit as consistently as an Enchanter’s. These differences have been extrapolated across the entire spectrum of core combat skills – both offensive and defensive – and are intended to work in tandem with our goals for deliberate ability choices and expanded itemization options to encourage players to choose between enhancing their strengths or shoring up their weaknesses based on their personal goals and role in a team, and to embark on new adventures to expand their arsenal.”
